Bring Imagination
into the Lightbox

Lightbox is a collaboration project created by CADRE (Computers in Art, Design, Research, and Education) Student Organization where every teams will group with 3 peers to build a lightbox project. In this project, student will experience with laser cut including paper and woods to build the box. They can share the ideas and work on the art concept with Adobe Illustrator. The student also work with soldering electrical board to power up the LED lights. In the final steps, each group will assembled and glued the components, crafting the box before placing everything inside.

This project was showcase at Admitted Spartan Day 2024, SubZERO2024,
and Marker Faire.

Share the memories

Besides sharing these fun projects at San Jose State University, the CADRE Student Organization has created a public platform for students to showcase their creative works at the SubZERO Festival 2024 in Downtown San Jose. The students have built these projects together, finding joy in collaboration and building networks with their peers. This project created a memorable experience in Spring 2024 and brought people together in a spirit of creativity and camaraderie.

As the graphic designer for the CADRE Student Organization, I came up with the idea of turning everyone's Lightbox illustration into stickers as keepsakes to celebrate those who contributed.
The stickers are printed at 1.5 x 1.5 inches on holographic paper. This was a surprise gift I shared with the club at the end of the semester, bringing a little extra joy and memory to the members.
